Tatterstall

3rd-Jun-2023

I am backing Tatterstall here. I think that he has plenty in his favour.

He beat Estate at Wolverhampton on his debut this season, and, while he only finished seventh at York last time, he ran much better than the bare form of the run suggests. He raced prominently and towards the near side in a race in which the first three home raced on the far side and were held up.

He only finished seventh in the end, but he was only beaten a total of less than three lengths, and he lost four places inside the final 150 yards.

He has blinding early pace, and that will be an asset today on the fastest five-furlong track in the business. Also, there is a good chance that he will be able to bag the favoured stands rail from stall 13, towards the near side and, if he does, he could last in front for a long way. He has the scope to step forward again now from his last run, he has a nice progressive profile, and it is interesting that Connor Beasley rides him in preference to his stable companion Zuffolo, who is not without a chance himself.

TATTERSTALL WON (ADV 8/1, SP 8/1)
