Nouvotic

29th-Apr-2026

King Alexander is the logical favourite here, but I think that Nouvotic should be closer to him in the market than he is.

Henry de Bromhead’s horse stayed on strongly to get the better of Release The Beast over two miles and three and a half furlongs at Wexford in October.  He finished off his race well that day to catch the leader. The pair of them finished clear, and Release The Beast ran a big race in a good handicap chase at Leopardstown next time off a 3lb higher mark to finish second to Addragoole.  He is now rated 7lb higher than he was then.

Nouvotic is only 8lb higher now, and he has the potential to progress now beyond his new mark of 130.  He is only seven and he has raced just four times over fences.

He hasn’t run since then, since October, but he goes well fresh.  He won at Wexford in July after a short break, and he won his maiden hurdle after a short break.  His three wins have all been at Wexford, but he ran a big race in the Adare Manor Opportunity Series Final at last year’ s Punchestown Festival to finish a close-up fourth.  He will love the ground and he should appreciate the slight step up in distance.

NOUVOTIC WON (ADV 6/1, SP 7/1)
