Midnightreflection

25th-Nov-2023

I am taking a chance on Midnightreflection here at the price.

Ben Case’s mare is not obviously unexposed, but she is at her best over three miles on goodish ground, and she put up one of the best performances of her career last time in finishing second to Ramo in an amateur riders’ handicap hurdle at Ludlow.

That was effectively her seasonal debut, she had unseated her rider at the start on her actual seasonal debut, so there is every chance that she will come on for it.  Also, that was over two miles and five furlongs.  She should appreciate the step back up to three miles today, and the return to better ground.

Charlie Case hasn’t ridden a winner under Rules in a couple of years, but he has ridden plenty of point-to-point winners in that time, his record on this mare reads 3U2, and he is good value for his 7lb claim.

MIDNIGHTREFLECTION WON (ADV 15/2, SP 11/2)
