I am backing Gale Force Maya here.  I think that she is over-priced at 7/1.

Michael Dods’ filly ran a big race last time over today’s course and distance in a Group 3 race to finish third behind Flotus.  She was beaten two lengths by the Crisfords’ filly, a 111-rated filly, and she gets to race today off a mark of 104.  She could be a well-handicapped filly on that mark.

As importantly, she goes well at York, over today’s course and distance.  She won there on her penultimate run off a mark of 99, just 5lb lower than today’s, and her record there now reads 313.  She has the early pace that is rewarded at York.

As well as that, I like her low draw and, if she can get away smartly and travel as well as she usually does in front, she could last in front for a long way, hopefully all the way to the winning line.
