Indefatigable

30th-Oct-2021

Run For Oscar was tempting, but he has been well found by the market now and, at the prices, I prefer Indefatigable.  Paul Webber’s mare is not proven over three miles yet, but she finished off her race really well to win the Martin Pipe Hurdle over an extended two and a half miles at Cheltenham in 2020, and that is a race that is usually won by a horse who will go on to stay further.

A good fourth in the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham last March, she rounded off her season by just going down by a half a length to Younevercall in a Grade 2 hurdle at Sandown in April.  She warmed up for this with a good staying performance to win a 12-furlong maiden up the hill at Pontefract four weeks ago.  That should have put her spot on for today, at a track at which she ran well on her only visit to date.

INDEFATIGABLE WON (ADV 6/1, SP 5/1)
