Nordano
15th-Feb-2020
I am backing Nordano here. I think that he is over-priced.
Neil King’s horse is only four, but he has raced six times over hurdles, and he gets all the age allowances. He gets in here on 10st exactly.
Winner of two juvenile hurdles in the autumn, he has competed against some of the top juvenile hurdlers in Britain and Ireland this season, Allmankind and Cerberus and Goshen, all of whom are high in the Triumph Hurdle betting, and he didn’t run badly last time against Goshen. He stayed on well to take second place, leaving the impression that he could benefit from a step up in trip.
Also, the fourth horse that day came out and won a handicap hurdle at Kempton last week.
A handicap rating of 127 is more than fair for him for his handicap debut, he should relish the testing conditions, and the step up to almost two and a half miles could bring about further improvement. There is a lot to like about him.
NORDANO WON (ADV 8/1, SP 8/1)
