Buckhurst
29th-Jun-2019
I want to take Addeybb on here. I just think that he is a different horse when he has easy ground, and the ground at The Curragh today is almost certainly going to be fast.
I am backing Buckhurst against him. Joseph O’Brien’s horse ran a big race last time in the Gallinule Stakes. He looked a winner when he kicked for home at the two-furlong marker, but he was just run down close home by Constantinople.
That horse was well fancied and well backed, and he enhanced the form of that run with a big run in the King Edward V Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Also, that was just Buckhurst’s third run ever, there is every chance that he will progress from it. He missed Ascot because of the soft ground, but that is a positive in the context of today’s race, and he is proven over the course and distance.
BUCKHURST WON (ADV 7/2 [RULE 4], SP 2/1)
