No Duffer
26th-Mar-2016
I am also backing No Duffer, now that he can get back on some decent ground. He was beaten by Leo Luna at Warwick last time, but that was on soft ground, which should have suited the winner. Also, No Duffer is 8lb better off today and that, combined with the better ground, should be enough to allow him exact his revenge.
He has a real chance of winning the race too. He is not as progressive as some of his rivals, but he gets to race off a mark of 125 today, the mark off which he raced at Warwick and a mark that is 7lb lower than his peak. That Warwick run was his first run since December and, while he can go well fresh, and while it is not certain that he will improve for the run, there is every chance that he will.
His record at Haydock reads 233, and trainer Tom George has his horses in cracking form. The record of his runners since Cheltenham reads 1231431, and No Duffer could further enhance that record.
