Ibis Du Rheu
18th-Mar-2016
I am backing Ibis Du Rheu. You have to forgive him his last run, but that was over almost three miles on horrible ground at Sandown. On his previous run, he ran a cracker to finish third behind Yala Enki and Westren Warrior in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton, and both of those horses have come out and run well since.
A half-brother to Saphir Du Rheu, he should improve for the better ground today, and he is a horse with lots of scope for progression anyway. Jack Sherwood is a good conditional, and Paul Nicholls won this race with Salubrious three years ago.
IBIS DU RHEU WON (ADV 18/1, SP 14/1)
