Aloomomo

Aloomomo

28th-Nov-2015

This is a competitive looking handicap chase, but there is no telling how good Aloomomo could be, and I would have had him in as clear favourite for this.  He is worth backing at 8/1.

This is another step up for Warren Greatrex’s horse, but he has looked really good on his last two runs, his first two runs this season, and there is no knowing the depth of his talent.

He won on his seasonal debut on soft ground at Uttoxeter off a mark of 108, and he followed up under a 7lb penalty – he was 7lb well-in – at Warwick three and a half weeks ago.  On each occasion he won with any amount in hand, on the latter occasion beating the useful Val D’Arc with the pair of them clear.

He is up another 14lb here, but that is just 7lb more than the mark he was actually allotted for his Uttoxeter win.  Of course, this is another step up in class, he may not be up to it, but he probably will be, and he shouldn’t be an 8/1 shot in my book.  If he was coming from a Paul Nicholls or a David Pipe or a Nicky Henderson yard with this type of profile, he would be closer to half his current odds.  Warren Greatrex has his team in really good form.

ALOOMOMO WON (ADV 15/2, SP 5/1)
