Peniaphobia
20th-Jul-2013
Nicely backed at biggish prices on his debut, Pehiaphobia ran out a good winner of a Pontefract maiden when he had several subsequent winners behind him.
He then ran a cracker to be narrowly beaten in a good race at York when he had Haikbidiac, one of today’s rivals with whom he is better off, and subsequent Windsor Castle winner Extortionist, behind him.
He kept on strongly at York and perhaps he would have won had the pace been stronger. He wasn’t suited by the small field and fairly steady pace at Thirsk last time either when he wasn’t impressive in winning, and he should come into his own off the likely fierce pace today. It looks like he is the Richard Fahey first string from his five runners in the race, and he is worth having on side at 9/1.
PENIAPHOBIA WON (ADV 9/1, SP 5/1)
