Get Me Out Of Here
13-Feb-2010
I am also backing Get Me Out Of Here this morning. JP McManus’s horse is really inexperienced, he has run just four times in his life, only three times over hurdles, and the handicapper has raised him 13lb for his win in a conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle last time. However, he looked really impressive that day, and the race is working out well, with the fourth, fifth and sixth all winning on their subsequent outings.
Actually, the fifth horse was today’s favourite Spirit River, whom Get Me Out Of Here beat by five lengths and now meets on 1lb better terms.
Of course Spirit River showed improved form next time, but Get Me Out Of Here is at least as progressive as the Henderson horse, and he won with much more in hand than the winning margin. Jonjo O’Neill obviously put him away after that race with a big handicap in mind, probably this one, and he has probably been trained for today since. The probable fast pace of today’s race should be ideal, it is a race that usually favours hold-up horses, and it is easy to see Get Me Out Of Here travelling well up the home straight under AP. That conditional jockeys’ race was over today’s course and distance, the ground, good to soft, soft in places, should be fine, and he is worth backing each-way at 7/1 with several firms going ¼ the odds 1,2,3,4,5 a place.
GET ME OUT OF HERE WON (ADV 7/1, SP 6/1)
